Abstract
The experimental investigation is characterized by the intentional manipulation of the independent variable and the analysis of its impact on the dependent variable. While their sub-designs are included in the type studies: (a) pre-experimental, characterized by carrying out an intervention only in an experimental group, (b) quasi-experimental, in which one works with an experimental group (the more), a control group and the assignment of the participants to both groups is in a non-probabilistic way and (c) the experimental type, in which one takes care of one more intervention groups, control group and the assignment of the participants in different groups if it is done in a probabilistic random way. In this editorial there is a brief description of each one of these sub-designs of the experimental investigation and the different elements that must be taken at the moment of planting.
